| The great mosque of Fez el Jedid or el Jalie el Kabir... |
Built in 1256 at the same time as the palaces and the ramparts of the new city under the reign of Abou Yousef Yaacoub.
Then restored in 1395, by Abou Faris (Merinides dynasty).
The library of the great mosque is due to the sultan Moulay Rashid (Alaouite dynasty) 1668. |
