| Meknes, Medersa Bouanania |
| The Medersa Bouanania was raised by Abou el Hassan and completed by his son and successor Abou Inan about 1345. |
It is a very elegant building; the room of prayer borders the court on the Eastern side. The entry door is decorated with a splendid zelliges ornament and engraved plasters. The Mihrab, whose ornamentation is still preserved, is remarkable with its epigraphic decoration. The pillars are decorated with zelliges, inscriptions and enriched by plaster tables of a very varied work. |
