| Meknes, the Qara prison |

| Located inside the Ismailian Kasbah, close to the house of the ambassadors. |
This monument is a vast underground dating from the beginning of the XVIIIth century and currently known as "Qara Prison".
It is formed of three rooms with a series of arcades resting on average dimension pillars (1,40m on 3,46m) and supporting flattened barrel vaults. |
