In the Vth century (B.C), Hannon, the Carthaginian explorer undertook a tour along the Moroccan coasts, during which he founded many colonies. The Carthaginian influence is felt through the funerary rites and the diffusion of the Punic language. During the IIIrd century (B.C), the Mauritanian city of Volubilis is controlled by a college of Suffetes on the Carthaginian way. |
