|
| Located in the South-eastern part of the medina, the Ben Yousef mosque is one of the most significant buildings and most imposing of Essaouira. |
| Most of the Mosque frontage is pressed against the ramparts which border Meshouar. The surface of more than 2000m2 form a trapezoid joined to a triangle, the oratory is composed of three nerves parallel to the wall of the Qibla. A rectangular patio gives a certain retreat to the prayer room with a running ablutions fountain in the middle. |
