| The Museum of Contemporary art of Tangier is located in the old English district, in a prestigious villa built in 1890 to shelter the British consulate. |
In 1986, it was converted into the house of Culture, then in 1990 into the Museum of Contemporary art.
The Museum of Contemporary art of Tangier presents numerous masterpieces made by a myriad of contemporary Moroccan artists belonging to various artistic schools. The museum also organizes temporary exposures devoted to national and foreign artists.
The museum includes six rooms each one represents a stage of the evolution of modern painting in Morocco. |
